Pellet Stoves provide a clean-burning, high efficiency, controllable renewable fuel source. Some pellet stoves even self-ignite and are thermostatically-controlled, providing heat just like conventional central heating.

The main problem with Pellet stoves is the difficulty in finding fuel at the right price. There are relatively few pellet manufacturers in the UK at present, and it is not economical to transport pellets long distances, so pellets need to be produced and used locally. Pellet-manufacture is therefore a good opportunity for local farmers, and can be done on a very small scale, if required.
